BBL Basketball Play-Off Finals, NIA Birmingham
Basketball is one of the most popular spectator sports around the world and having attended the British Basketball League Play-offs this year, it’s easy to see why. Boys and girls who have played and officiated school games this year were invited along to see the top 2 teams in the country battle it out win the Cup. The contest, which is the equivalent of the FA Cup, took place between Leicester Riders and Newcastle Eagles in Birmingham’s NIA. With a sell-out crowd watching, the atmosphere was fantastic and all pupils enjoyed the highly competitive game, as well as gaining greater understanding of its nuances. Final score – 71-62 to the Eagles.
