Hampshire Schools Track Knock Out Competition.
Kings’ School got an amazing 3rd place in the Hampshire Schools Track Knock Out Final. The team arrived with loads of energy to the track and started warming up whilst all the other competitors arrived. The final started with the 600 metres event.
Kings’ representative, Kieran Payne, gave Kings’ their first victory of the final, securing 1st in the event out of the 12 schools. The afternoon kept on going and all of the athletes were trying their best to gain points for their schools. All the events ran were very tight for the first position, and no one gave up until they reached the finish line.
The competition ended and all of the schools sat down in the grass near the track. The chairman grabbed the microphone and congratulated all of the schools because of all their great effort shown out on the track. The great moment came. He lifted a paper and started saying the final scores; “12th…11th…10th…9th…8th…7th…6th…5th…4th…and in third position, a round of applause to….Kings’!”. Thanks to all our representatives that tried their hardest in this competition: Denzal Kosegbe-Akanbi, Thomas Owusu-Brew, Kieran Payne, Jonathan Miller, James Radikan, Ben Parkinson, Henry Darlison and Alejandro Arguelles.
Lastly, thank you to Mr Morris and Mrs White, who tried their hardest to make this event possible.
Hopefully, next year we will aim for a higher place on the podium.
