We are proud to announce that Kings’ has expanded their recycling activities even more. We now have a Salvation Army Clothing Bank positioned to the left of the school gates. We would like to encourage pupils, parents, teachers and the local community to bag up and bring in any unwanted clothing and put them in the collection bin. For every kilo collected the school will receive 20p (£200/tonne) to fund further environmental activities. A further £200/tonne goes to The Salvation Army for their work in the UK.
The Eco-Committee are keen to continue to raise the awareness of the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling and will continue to push new initiatives that actively reduce the impact that we, as a school community, have on the environment.
Please have a clear out and bag up your old clothes, bags, towels and shoes and put them in the Clothing Bank at the front of the school.
Miss Wellington and The Eco Warriors.
