On the 10th, 14th, 16th and 21st June 2010,205 Year 7 pupils went to Warwick Castle. One ach day, we arrived and had lunch whilst eagles circled overhead as part of a ‘Birds of Prey’ exhibition. Over the next 3 hours, pupils climbed the ramparts of the castle, went down into the dungeon and saw a trebuchet being fired. Inside the castle, they saw how it would have been furnished throughout the centuries, and learnt how a knight would have prepared for battle. People in period dress provided interesting information. After time to explore and an ice cream, it was time to head back to school. Everyone agreed it was a tiring but extremely enjoyable trip.
