We are excited to be able to announce that we have additional uniform items available on our Uniform Shop website. Please read the following regarding these items:
- Games Jersey’s – Our existing supplier has now stopped manufacturing the games jerseys that we have had had in stock for many years. This has meant that we have had to source an alternative and the new ones can now be found on our website and in our shop. We hope you agree that the bespoke and lightweight material makes it a great design. Initially, these will be sold to all of our new year 7 starters in September 2018. We expect that this will then gradually follow across the rest of the school, as the olds one naturally need replacing for the next size up.
- Netball Skort’s – Kings’ School has now introduced skorts to replace the old style games skirt. This follows suggestion from the pupils and the school is sure that this will be a really smart alternative. Initially, these will be sold to the new year 7 starters for September 2018 as a compulsory item. However, they will also be available to buy for all of the other girls when they are wanting to replace their netball skirts. There is, however, no pressure to do this immediately.
- Trousers – Kings’ are pleased to announce that we are now giving girls’ the option to wear trousers as an alternative to the grey skirt. Girls’ can choose to pick either or both the skirt and trousers. Only one style of trousers will be considered acceptable uniform and so buying skirts or trousers from the Uniform Shop will be compulsory.
To make sure we achieve a uniform standard we will also be making it compulsory to buy boys’ trousers from our uniform shop too. For new starters in September this will be with immediate effect. We expect that all other year groups will follow the move to uniform trousers within the school year.
We are unable to hold stock covering the very wide variation of waist sizes and lengths in the uniform shop. In order to purchase trousers you should place an order with the uniform shop either online or at the shop. We will then order from the suppliers on the 25th of each month (except December when the order will be placed on Monday 17th). This may mean that if you place an order just after the deadline then you may need to wait for up to a month before the next order is submitted. We will do our best to ensure they are available as soon as possible. These will then need to be collected from the shop during it’s normal opening hours (notes will be sent out to pupil’s classes reminding them, when they are ready). In the event of an urgent need for trousers then please contact the Uniform Shop since small, priority orders attract extra delivery charges.
If you have any further questions, then please phone Kings’ on 01962 861 161 and ask for Miss Merrett, I will be more than happy to assist.
