Having adopted the DFE Wellbeing Charter, we are committed to protecting, improving, and promoting mental health and wellbeing at Kings’, we have a dedicated Committee, who meet regularly to discuss and implement “Kings’ Wellbeing” initiatives and a “Kings’ Portal” for staff to access all things wellbeing.

We actively support life outside of work and within work, and our philosophy is one of ‘improve, not prove’ through performance management. Our policies and practice are continually reviewed in order to minimise distractions from your core purpose and staff voice is highly valued and central to this process.

staff testimonials

“There is a strong sense of community, of support, and the ‘Una Laborantes’ motto has been, and continues to be, very much evident throughout my time here.”

Mr Clarke (Head of Music)

“I love being part of the busy community of a secondary school and seeing young people arrive as nervous y7’s and leave as confident ‘almost adults’ ready for the world of college and work is really fulfilling, especially if I know I have had a small part to play in supporting that pupil on their journey into adult life.”

Mrs Baxter (Pastoral Support Worker)
