Year 9 History Visit to the First World War Battlefields
The History Department is planning a field visit to the Battlefields of the First World War for 44
Year 9 Pupils. The visit will offer the opportunity to explore various sites associated with the war
on ‘The Western Front’. It will provide an interesting and invaluable insight into the experience of
soldiers and civilians involved in one of the most significant events in modern times.
The pupils will depart from school at 9.00am on Saturday 10th October and will return to school on
Monday 12th October at approximately 10.00pm. The cost of this visit will be £290.
The charge above will include 2 nights’ accommodation: breakfast, packed lunches and evening
meals; hire of coach; Eurotunnel crossings; guides and entrance fees to sites/museums. A
proposed itinerary is included for your information.

over subscription, a draw will be made to determine the allocation of a place on the visit).

Trips & Activities Post Box in the main school foyer by Friday 24th January 2020.
